Hope you all had a good Christmas and a Happy New Year! The run-up to Christmas was not a good time for me, everywhere I went it seemed to snow - not just a little bit but sometimes a metre or so, which is not good for a slalom skier as we like the snow compact and hard. I managed a 14th in a Nor Am race in Winter Park, Colorado, then came back to Europe and the snow seemed to follow us! Drove all the way to Val d'Isere and that was cancelled because of the snow and high winds. I was doing OK in Davis, Switzerland - 2nd after the first run - but straddled a gate on the 2nd run. I flew home for Christmas with Sheila and the kids after being away for a month - I felt I really needed some time at home with them. It was great. We all flew out to Slovenia where I trained for three days and then headed to Lofer in Austria for Hogmanay. I am now back in Slovenia training and getting ready for a block of good races.
